Why Moon Stone exists
I got back into Pokémon cards last year and remembered why I loved them as a kid. The collecting, the chase, the community. But buying cards in 2026 is a headache. Restock Discords. Drop alarms at 3am. Bot races you can’t win. Lining up at big-box stores. Driving to local card shops. Proxy accounts and customs forms for Japanese sets. There is no version of this hobby where the bots and the scalpers are doing you a favor.
Moon Stone is a place to just buy the box.
How the membership works
Moon Stone is a paid Pokémon TCG club. $79/yr at the founding rate. Limited to the first 100 founding members. After founding closes, the price goes up. Founding members lock the $79/yr rate as long as they renew.
Membership funds the operation. Product sells at landed cost: supplier price, plus the applicable US import tariff (currently 15% on Japanese imports, subject to change), plus international freight. Every line itemized on the invoice. $0 Moon Stone markup.
The relationship is the deal. You buy here, you have my trust, and the more we buy together, the better the prices get for everyone. When my supplier costs go down, the new price shows up on your next invoice. You pay what I pay.
Shrink verified
Every sealed box is inspected for factory shrink before it ships. Japanese imports and US sealed, all checked, never resealed, never tampered. If anything looks off, it doesn’t leave.
If something arrives wrong
If a box arrives damaged, broken-shrink, or wrong, email max@moonstonetcg.com with a photo and your order number and I’ll make it right. Pull rates and buyer’s remorse aren’t covered. There’s no escalation chain past me, so the answer comes back fast.
Who I am
I’m Max. I run retention and e-commerce for a 9-figure subscription brand. Years in commerce learning to grow a business without breaking the operator-customer relationship. My family has been business owners for generations; it’s the work I know. Dad with a young daughter and a son on the way, building Moon Stone toward financial freedom for my family between feedings and after bedtime.
